| The following day we had loads to do, Damae was a school twice, we had a meeting with a representative of the council and with the lady who organises the council housing stock. We viewed two houses, a flat near the centre of town and an old house on the outskirts. We chose the one in town and are waiting to see if our application will be rubber stamped. In the evening we felt a little weary but also a bit restless. So we took the car out to Torpo and had a look at what was left of the stave church. It used to be much grander but half of it was torn down in the mid 19th century before it was rescued from complete demolition. Well worth NOK 45 each to have a look inside. We then drove out to Ål to have a quick look round and had an icecream. | |
