Snowy view down to the wintersports centre on Mount Seymour in Canada BC.

NEW Pictures of our trip to Canada July 2007 for Dobes and May's wedding. Includes some good shots from the plane over Greenland, Alberta and The Rockies.

This is basically where the site started. As a student I bought a Praktica SLR camera and took photos of lots of things. The initial burst of enthusiasm for photography waned as I finished studying and tried to work out how to earn a living.

Much much later I bought a secondhand Casio digital camera, and suddenly saw the great advantage of digital photography. A year or so after that, having done some research on the internet, I bought an Olympus C730-UZ and got into photography again. I have been very pleased with the camera and it gets well used on our longer trips.

This year I added a smaller 'disposable' digital camera to our collection. It was being sold off cheap for Eur100 and produces fine pictures. The optics are not as good as the Olympus but it is a bit easier to use whilst cycling. Also at that price it matters less if I drop it and kill it, or if it gets wet and just stops working.

To the left are links to picture galleries. I created some of them whilst learning what little HTML I know. So they don't necessarily look very swish but they seem to work fine.
